Doing what Shawn does best (among other things)

KHIKS partner Shawn Holley recently addressed students, faculty and staff from her alma mater, Southwestern Law School, as she told them about her unexpected path into criminal law, beginning as a public defender and later thrust onto a national stage just six months after joining her first law firm, with the defense of O.J. Simpson.

Later, when a nationally renowned entertainment lawyer asked her to join his firm, she learned (for the second time) that being qualified for a certain job doesn’t always mean you’ve had specific experience in that particular role.

Read all about it (including pictures), and see what Shawn has to say about the kinds of skills that have the most value, on the Southwestern News Blog.
